Innovative Power Extraction Technology That Helps Meet The Worlds’ Energy Needs.

EOS Renewable Technologies   (EOS) controls a suite of intellectual property known as XPX that increases the total number of Kilowatt Hours produced by any photovoltaic device at no net additional system cost. The latest XPX device provides this increase while delivering AC power without the need for an external inverter.

XPX is the culmination of years of research and development. Previous iterations producing DC power have been extensively tested and evaluated by the US Navy, US Army and leading academic institutions. These have shown power production increases of over 41%.

EOS is the exclusive licensor of the XPX technology, which was developed by Xslent Energy Technologies (XET).

Brief Technology Description

The XPX technology, embodied in a printed circuit board (PCB), extracts significantly more electrical energy from any PV solar media through a combination of patent pending design and proprietary algorithms. At the heart of the technology is a technique known as Dynamic Impedance Matching (DZM) which allows continuous extraction of electrical power even during very low light conditions when conventional systems underperform or shut down.

The proprietary operating system embedded in XPX also has a built-in feature to dynamically perform power factor correction to automatically reduce reactive power (VARs). Also included in the XPX suite of technology is a granular, web-based energy "dashboard" information management, monitoring, control, and an instant financial reporting that can make XPX a leading enabler of the smart grid.

The XPX DC device replaces the need for a separate charge controller. The XPX AC replaces not only the charge controller but also the conventional power inverters at half the cost. These add-on features increase PV systems reliability and further reduces Balance of System costs.

XPX is platform independent with no retrofit needed for immediate introduction in the solar panel market on both the new and installed base.  Integrating our plug- and-play XPX into these systems will significantly increase their electrical output, providing an immediate and substantial cost advantage over competitors.

IP Protection/No Competition

The XPX suite of intellectual property includes 20 patent applications (6 patents pending) with additional filing of the latest addition to XPX's built-in features (dynamically correct power factor to near unity). Our extensive IP research shows no infringement on any existing patents. We do not know of any competition that comes close to XPX proven power extraction performance and value-added features.

EOS' XPX Technology Licensing

EOS has awarded the first non-exclusive license for its XPX power extraction technology to Cool Earth Solar (www.coolearthsolar.com). Cool Earth will utilize XPX technology to increase energy production in its solar power plants.

"We're proud to have Cool Earth Solar as our first licensee," said Lawrence Asuncion of EOS. Its speaks to the confidence that their technical team has in the XPX technology. As other photovoltaic companies learn more we think they'll be impressed as well."

"Cool Earth's mission is to change the dynamics of the solar industry by producing massive amounts of clean energy at prices competitive with fossil fuels," said Rob Lamkin, CEO of Cool Earth Solar. By licensing EOS Renewable XPX tehnology, we expect to increase energy production from our solar power plants with no increase in capital costs".

EOS is currently in the process of evaluating other potential licensees.
